गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Rallies of agitating NCP send Valley’s traffic into chaos Nepal Rallies of agitating NCP send Valley’s traffic into chaos NCP staging demonstrations in the capital against govt move to dissolve the House, causing traffic jams and inconvenience for public KathmanduPati January 22, 2021 KATHMANDU – As agitating Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal is staging demonstrations in the capital today, the Valley’s traffic system has gone haywire. The rival party has issued a circular to it’s all sister organizations and wings making it mandatory for all cadres to be present in its rallies that will be taken out from various places of the Valley. These rallies will converge at a mass gathering at Khula Manch. Top leaders including Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal are scheduled to address the mass gathering organized as part of the protest against the government decision to dissolve the House of Representatives and set new dates for midterm election. Leaders of the NCP say that turnout in today’s demonstration would show their strength. Rallies from various parts in the valley are marching toward Khulla Manch. The demonstrations have caused the traffic disruption. Police have set barricades in and around Ratnapark, diverting traffic to alternative routes. These rallies have caused massive traffic jams in the Valley, according to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Office.
