Based on the decision of the standing committee meeting of the NCP held on January 14 and 15, the party finalized the district chairmen and secretaries. As per the decision, the erstwhile CPN(UML) will lead 33 districts while the then CPN (Maoist-Center) will have the leadership in 35 districts. The party is yet to pick chairmen and secretaries of the remaining nine districts. Prachanda and Nepal have agreed to share leadership positions on a 50:50 ratio.
