गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ Leaders of Chand group arrested Politics Leaders of Chand group arrested KathmanduPati August 20, 2020 Saptari- The Saptari Police today arrested 41-year-old Uma Bhujel and 31-year-old Suman Singh Poudel today. Bhujel is the central member and Poudel a district-level leader of the banned Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist). Deputy Superintendent of the District Police Office Saptari, Tilak Bharati, who is also the information officer at the office, confirmed the arrest of the two leaders of the Chand group. The Area Police Office in Kanchanrup, Saptari is prosecuting them on charges of misbehaving against the police at Bhardaha. Bhujel is the politburo member of the Chand Group. She was also a member of the Interim Legislature Parliament. The two were released on general date on Tuesday by the district Court Sunsari.
