Centre’s Chief Ramesh Kanta Poudel shared that the Centre has collected the blood of four people who have recovered from the virus. Two units of the plasma have been given to a current COVID-19 patient, he added. The remaining ‘O’ and ‘B’ blood group plasma have been kept in suitable conditions to use whenever needed. The Centre has expedited its preparation to identify those that have recovered from the virus in and around Chitwan district and requested them to donate their plasma. The Bharatpur Hospital, Chitwan Medical College and Old Medical College have been providing treatment for COVID-19 patients in Chitwan, with patients from across the country coming to the hospitals.
