The accident took place when a passenger-ferrying bus (Ba 3-001 Kha 2587) en route to Kathmandu from Kakadbhitta and a truck (Na 7 Kha 7300) from opposite direction collided nearby number 3 bridge in Amlekhgunj this morning. According to Bara Police Spokesperson Dadhiram Neupane, the deceased have been identified as truck driver Purna Gurung, 28, of Tanahun, bus driver and Hari Shumsher Suwal Thapa, 40, of Hetauda, Makawanpur. One is yet to be identified, he shared. The three breathed their last while undergoing treatment in Hetauda. Seven critically injured persons were taken to Hetauda and Chitwan Medical College, police said. Other 20 injured persons are being treated in local hospitals, it was informed.
