KATHMANDU – Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has said a time has come to review whether the reports submitted by the investigation committees formed after aircraft crashes are factual or not.
Addressing the two-day workshop seminar related to aviation safety organized by Airlines Operators Association of Nepal here today, Minister Pandey shared that the issues mentioned on the reports would be objectively reviewed. He stressed that existing problems would be identified and measures for long-term solution would be adopted.
“Probe committees used to be formed after a plane crash. We will seek measures for long-term solution after identifying problems through review about how much the committees formed so far are based on truth and facts,” pointed out the Tourism Minister.
He further said, “The ministry will focus its attention towards finding solution after carrying out study why the previous reports have not been implemented if the reports were factual.” Domestic passengers have been losing their trust towards aviation sector, said Minister Pandey, stressing that bodies concerned should be serious and alert about it.
