
KATHMANDU – Two persons died after they were buried by landslide at Tahakhel in Lalitpur district today. According to chairperson of Godawari municipality-10, Shekhar Neupane, 50-year-old woman and eight-year-old girl died at Tahakhel.
Similarly, a man and his daughter died after being buried by a clay mound at Taukhel of Godawari municipality-3, said chairperson of Godavari municipality-3, Sanu Raja Ghimire.
Ghimire shared a house near Godawari Kunda is at high risk of landslide. “Three houses, the Baitarnidham Temple and a police post have been washed away by the flood at Mahankal rural municipality-3. Five persons have gone out of contact in this incident”, said chairperson of Mahankal-3, Manoj Parajuli.
Likewise, 16 cattle were swept away along with shed at Ashrang of Bagmati rural municipality-6. Chief of Bhattedanda Police Post at Bagmati rural municipality-3, Uddhav Mahat, shared that the Kanti highway has been completely obstructed.
“The flood has damaged Bagmati bridge and inundated the Khanikhola hydropower project. Ward office of Bagmati-3 is at risk while a house of Ran Bahadur Darlami located at ward no 5 has been washed by a rivulet”, he mentioned.
