
KATHMANDU – A delegation of representatives from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) of India, Bhutan, and the Maldives today paid a courtesy call on President Ramchandra Paudel.
The delegation is currently in Nepal to participate in the Youth Exchange Programme 2025, scheduled to be held in Kathmandu on the occasion of the Mahashivaratri festival and the 262nd anniversary of the Nepali Army (NA). The delegation had arrived here on February 21.
The meeting took place at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas. The NA is organizing the skills exchange event among cadets from the neighboring countries to further strengthen mutual relations. President Paudel serves as the Supreme Commander of the NA.
The NA hopes that events like this will help participants gain a deeper understanding of the social, religious, and cultural contexts of other countries.
Among those present at the meeting were Executive Director General of Nepal’s National Service Corps Major General Yam Prasad Dhakal, Director General of India’s NCC Gurbirpal Singh, Director of Bhutan Scouts Association Sangay Choden, and Head of the Maldivian delegation Rifan Ali, among others.
