The Bhangaha Municipality Mayor Sanjeev Kumar Shah confirmed infection on Monday night and is currently availing treatment at home isolation. Bhangaha-4 ward chair Ashok Kumar Mahato had also tested positive for the flu-like infection, but has fully recovered since then. Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS)’s journalists in the district Gopal Prasad Baral and Sunita Baral associated with the Kantipur Daily have also tested positive for the deadly infection. Both are being treated at home-isolation. Earlier, Raj Karan Mahato of Annapurna Post and Lalan Kumar Mandal of News24 had been infected with COVID-19 but have recovered and returned to their duties as well.
