The tourist town of Kavre had remained silent since the outbreak of Corona Virus in 2020. However, it was hard to find hotel rooms in Dhulikhel as the New Year 2021 began. A large number of domestic tourists arrived to Dhulikhel on New Year’s Eve and on the first day of 2021. “Rooms had already been booked for the two days, and hence we could not accommodate guests who arrived on the day itself,” said proprietor of Hotel Panorama in Devisthan, Dhulikhel. Most of the hotels in and around Dhulikhel remained fully booked for the past few days. “Easy road access and close destination has made Dhulikhel a preferred choice for those who wanted to celebrate the New Year,” said Secretary of Regional Hotel Association, Kavre, Jyotshna Shrestha.
