Former PM Bhattarai felicitates Indian taekwondo head coach Jaigadi

Prakash Jaigadi, a native from Kaliali, has been making a mark in taekwondo in India


KATHMANDU – Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has felicitated Prakash Jaigadi, Head Coach of All India National Taekwondo.

Former Prime Minister Bhattarai felicitated India’s Taekwondo Head Coach Jaigadi amid a ceremony held at Tikapur in Kailali on Wednesday.

Taekwondo’s Coach Jaigadi, a native of Tikapur, has won numerous national and international medals in his two decades of career in India. Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, taekwondo coach Jaigadi said that he strives to introduce Nepal to the world through sports.

He also said that prosperity and development cannot be achieved until sports does not get a priority. After foraying into taekwondo in 2000, he earned a black belt in the Korean martial art in 2003.

He has become the best national taekwondo player twice. He has been training taekwondo to Bollywood and Hollywood artists as well as Indian army personnels. He has also teached action to Bollywood actors including Ajay Devgan, Kajol, Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar, among others.
