Police apprehended Doman Bahadur Gharti, 35, Bhupendra Buda, 24 and Binod Pun, 29 of Gurbhakot Rural Municipality for intoxicating the Raute women and sexually abusing them in a hotel owned by arrested Pun. Police launched a probe into the incident after a video in which the victims were shown being sexually abused went viral on Saturday. Chief District Officer Chabilal Rijal shared police had been undertaking investigation into the incident and culprits would be brought to book. There are currently 143 Rautes, the nomadic ethic group, residing at Gurbhakot recently. The young Raute women were found to be suffering eve-teasing, sexual misconduct at the hands of people pretending to record their daily activities, festivities and cultural practices among others to create contents on social media.
