The delegation informed Chairman Dahal about the immediate need of infrastructures in the disaster hit areas. Dahal responded to the delegation that he took the issues seriously and would take these to further discussion. Maoist Centre leader Subodh Sapkota informed that the former prime minister Dahal assured that he would prod the government to take initiative to resolve the problems faced by those who suffered worst in the floods and landslides in Melamchi and Helambu. “Now, the links of increasing natural disasters in the country can be tracked to global development model,” Chairman Dahal said, adding that internal study and management is equally important. Chairman Dahal further viewed that such pressing issues of climate crisis in the Himalayan country could be raised even in the global forums.
