Finance Minister Janardan Sharma had presented a proposal in the meeting, seeking passage of the Bill along with the message received from the House of Representatives. National Assembly Chair, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, read out the contents of a letter received from the Office of the President. The letter is related to the formation of the Council of Ministers. The main opposition CPN (UML) lawmakers stood up from their seats in protest after lawmaker Komal Oli, speaking in the meeting, said that the Assembly could not carry ahead its business until the Speaker of the House of Representatives takes action against the MPs against whom the UML has recommended action. The Upper House will next meet at 11 am on September 24.
