गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ UML leader Gyawali demands announcement of local poll date Politics UML leader Gyawali demands announcement of local poll date KathmanduPati February 06, 2022 File photo KATHMANDU – Deputy General Secretary of the CPN (UML) Pradeep Gywali has stressed on exerting pressure on the government to announce the date for local level election In his address to a programme organized at Sainamaina of Rupandehi today, Gwwali said, “The Prime Minister has said the local level election will be held in May/April, but the date is not fixed yet. So in this context, there is no reason to be assured of the election.” He claimed that parties in the government were escaping the responsibility of ensuring timely elections. “The poll is not the final goal for communists, but it can open a path for socio-economic development in the country. We want to test the time through elections.” He asserted that the MCC should be of the mutual interest, accusing the Maoist of interfering in it unnecessarily.
