KATHMANDU: The two chairmen of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP)—KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’— have held a meeting to discuss the agenda to be presented in the standing committee.
Bishnu Sapkota ‘Jugal’, the press advisor to Prachanda, said that the chairman duo’s discussion was focused on the agenda to be presented in the standing committee meeting scheduled for Friday, September 11.
The party chiefs also discussed the report of a task force, which had been formed to resolve intra-party disputes.
As the disputes between two NCP chairmen had been escalating for a while, the party had long been putting off its standing committee meeting. Initially scheduled for July 28, the meeting had to be postponed until further notice.
The two chairmen agreed to form a task force headed by party General Secretary Bishnu Paudel to resolve intra-party disputes.
The party chairmen have agreed to schedule the standing committee meeting for Friday following the task force’s report submission.
