KATHMANDU- Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ has held a separate meeting of central committee members of the ruling Nepal Communist Party and members of the House of Representatives close to him.
Home Minister Badal, also a secretariat member in the ruling NCP, convened the meeting today morning at his official residence Pulchowk.
There are 35 central committee members close to Home Minister Badal while Pampha Bhusal and Dev Gurung in the standing committee are also said to be with him. Both Bhusal and Gurung have sided with NCP Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved the parliament on Sunday.
Hitman Shakya, Manoj Thapa, Yashoda Subedi, Surya Prakash Subedi, Lekhnath Neupane, Sabitri Kumar Kafle, Amrita Thapa, Shreeram Dhakal, Maya Prasad Sharma, Dilip Kumar Prajapati, Suresh Ale Magar, Ram Dip Acharya, Maheswor Dahal and Yubaraj Bhattarai are present in the meeting called by Home Minister Badal.
Home Minister Badal, a leader of erstwhile CPN Maoist-Center), is considered to be close to Prime Minister Oli. Former Maoist leaders Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Haribol Gajurel, Lekhraj Bhatta and Mani Thapa are also said to be with Home Minister Badal.
