KATHMANDU – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is heading to Mahendranagar today. As Prime Minister Oli is visiting Kanchanpur to lay a foundation of Daiji Chela Industrial Area at Dedkut Municipality, security has been beefed up in the district to avoid any untoward incident.
Police have said that the security arrangements have been tightened from Sunday keeping in view the visit of the Prime Minister.
DSP Amar Bahadur Thapa, spokesperson at the District Police Office of Kanchanpur, said that a huge number of police personnels have been deployed amid the visit of Prime Minister Oli.
According to a police source, nearly 1,200 security personnels have been deployed in the district in view of the Prime Minister’s visit.
Prime Minister Oli is flying to Dhangadhi via Shree Airlines flight. After a brief rest in Dhangadhi, he will reach the program venue via a helicopter of the Nepal Army.
He is scheduled to inaugurate the industrial area at 1 pm. Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister Lekh Raj Bhatta is already in Kanchanpur to participate in the program.
