The party headquarters come into operation formally after Prime Minister and CPN (UML) chairperson, KP Sharma Oli, inaugurated the party office today.
Earlier, the party headquarters was shifted to Thapathali from Dhurabarahi on April 14. Prime Minister Oli reached party headquarters at 10:30 am and sat in his office, said Party Office Secretary, Ishwori Rijal.
Similarly, Chair Oli also sat with General-Secretary Ishwor Pokharel, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, and Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Shankar Pokhrel, for a while in another room.
The party headquarters has covered three ropanis of land where there are 12 rooms. Chair Oli had visited new party headquarters on March 24. The NCPN (UML) has now shifted the party office to Thapathali from Dhumrabarahi as there would be problem in visiting party office due to ring road expansion.
Similarly, the CPN (UML) had been running its activities from Dhumrabarahi-based party office shifting from Madannagar, Balkhu, after Gorkha earthquake damaged the building in Balkhu.
