KATHMANDU – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged all voters to vote for leader Ram Bahadur Thapa and make him the winner in the National Assembly election from CPN (UML).
Issuing an appeal today, PM Oli urged all the voters to make Home Minister Thapa, candidate of the CPN (UML), the winner by voting in the symbol of Sun in the by-poll taking place on May 20.
The election is taking place on Thursday to a vacant post of the NA from Bagmati Province. Minister Thapa and Dr Khimlal Devkota have filed their candidacy to the post. Bagmati Province Assembly members and Mayor and Deputy-Mayor of local levels of Bagmati Province are voters in this election.
Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairperson Oli said that the election taking place on Thursday has special importance and it would establish party’s capability, unity and discipline. He also expressed the belief that the united determination and success in the election would take the party unity to a new height.
The appeal reads, “Ram Bahadur Thapa is the candidate of our party in the election to the vacant post of NA. He is a senior leader of Nepal’s communist movement. His victory would strengthen sentimental unity of communist movement. So I urge all the voters to make party’s candidate win the election, being united.”
Prime Minister Oli opined that filing rival candidacy against the authorized candidate of the party, devaluing the election symbol and voting against the party’s decision was the matter beyond the imagination in the party.
He shared, “Adopting these practices will not be acceptable to any party adhering to the multi-party system.”
