A very first meeting of the party held at the Federal Parliament’s New Baneshwor since its recognition from the EC unanimously picked party Chair Nepal as the parliamentary leader. The EC on August 25 endorsed the formation of the party constituted by splitting from the CPN (UML). The meeting also constituted a five-member committee to draft the statute of the CPN (Unified Socialist) parliamentary party. The committee comprises lawmakers Bhawani Prasad Khapung, Niradevi Jairu, Laxmi Chaudhary, Thagendra Prakash Puri and Sher Bahadur Kunwar as its members, according lawmaker Kalyani Kumari Khadka.
