He accused the communist parties of shying away from the agreement made for MCC grant. Senior leader Poudel said it during a programme organized to unveil the bust of martyr Bikram Pariyar here Saturday. “Poverty causes violence and terrorism, so MCC is for reducing poverty by propping up national economy. Upgrading of transmission line and roadway was the projects under MCC grants,” he stressed. According to leader Poudel, the role the late Pariyar played for democracy is unforgettable. Central member of the party Shankar Bhandari said martyrs must be paid tribute and collective efforts made for prosperous Nepal. Another central member Govinda Bhattarai accused the communist parties of walking away from the responsibility of materializing the project despite demanding MCC grant. He further said the bickering over politics on MCC was a ploy to push the national economy to crisis. Minister for Internal Affairs at Gandaki Province, Dobate Bishwokarma, viewed that the NC should internalize the problems facing martyr Pariyar’s family.
