The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, Lainchaur said a tremor measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale and with epicentre around Golche of Sindhupalchok occurred at 1.19 pm today. An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale with its epicentre around Daulichaur of Bajhang was recorded on May 24 before this. Earthquakes have been frequently taking place in the western and eastern parts of the country of late. The mountainous and hilly regions of the country are considered to be earthquake-prone regions.
