The national flag-carrier stated that a call for tenders has been made for procurement of three planes for operating flights in the remote areas. NAC is in the process of buying three Twin-otter planes for this purpose. It is said the NAC is purchasing these aircraft through its internal resources. NAC currently has only two Twin-otter aircraft for operating flights in the domestic sector.
