The road sections falling under the Madan Bhandari Highway were blocked after a landslide fell at Goudakot and Birbas of Gulmidarbar Rural Municipality. Similarly, Ridi-Khajryang road in Rurukshetra rural municipality-1 under the Tamghas-Ridi road was blocked due to a landslide falling from above the road at Ratamata, District Police Office Gulmi said. Likewise, the Ridi-Rudrabeni-Wamitaksar road section has been blocked due to the increased water flow in Dahare river in Satyavati rural municipality-6. As a result, the long and short route vehicles going from the headquarters Tamghas and Wamitaksar to Butwal-Kathmandu remain stranded on the road. Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Sharma said although efforts are being made by the local authorities to bring back the road into operation incessant rainfall and subsequent mudslide is hampering it.
