PM Oli extends best wishes on International Youth Day


KATHMANDU – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed his best wishes on the occasion of International Youth Day.

Prime Minister Oli has extended his best wishes to the youth on the occasion of the day through social media today.

Taking to social media, PM Oli said, “Today marks the International Youth Day. In 1999, the United Nations declared August 12 as Youth Day every year as a day to honor the contributions, rights, and opportunities of young people.

Youth Day was first celebrated in 2000. This has inspired the youth to empower themselves in the social, economic, cultural and political spheres.”

Prime Minister Oli said that just as a flower’s smile is in its bud, the future of the nation lies in the energy, creativity and dreams of the youth.

He said, “Our positive thinking, continuous efforts and united behavior will fulfill our resolve to make the country prosperous.”

Today, Youth Day is being celebrated all over the world, including Nepal. Youth Day has been celebrated since 2073 BS under the leadership of the National Youth Council.
