Kathmandu [Nepal], August 30 – India sends fourth batch of relief supplies and technical teams to Nepal.
India has sent a fourth batch of relief supplies and technical teams to Nepal following the devastating floods.
The fourth batch of relief materials was handed over to the Nepal government on Sunday morning, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said.
According to the ministry, the latest supplies include blankets, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, plastic sheets and sanitation materials to support people affected by the disaster.
Along with the relief supplies, India has also sent a tunnel technical team equipped with search-and-rescue equipment to assist Nepal’s ongoing emergency response.
A team of forensic experts has also arrived from India to support DNA testing and help identify victims of the floods.
The deployment comes as Nepal continues search, rescue and recovery operations following the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river systems.
India has been providing emergency assistance to Nepal as authorities work to rescue those stranded, locate missing people and support communities affected by the disaster.
