गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Six police personnel suspended for taking bribes from service recipients Nepal Six police personnel suspended for taking bribes from service recipients KathmanduPati August 12, 2020 Sindhuli- Five police personnel working at the office of the District Police in Sindhuli have been suspended for their alleged involvement in taking bribes from service recipients. A special police team deputed from the Bagmati State Police Office caught the cops on 5 August while the latter were receiving bribes from service recipients. According to the Information Coordination Officer of the State Police’s office Roshan Thapa, six cops, including five from the district police office in Sinidhuli and one from the district police office in Kavre, were suspended. Thapa informed that the police personnel had been caught red-handed whilst taking bribes from vehicle drivers on different pretexts. He further shared that all six police personnel were then suspended from their jobs. Among the suspended are two head constables and four general police officers.
