KATHMANDU: An additional 980 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Nepal within the last 24 hours.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, informed that the total number of infected people in Nepal has now reached 46,257. In the last 24 hours, 1,814 patients have been discharged.
Similarly, 28,941 infected people have been cured in Nepal so far.
In the last 24 hours, 10,382 people have undergone PCR tests. While the number of people in quarantine is 4,703, the number of people in home isolation is 7,826. The total number of active cases is 17,027.
Nine people have died in Nepal in the last 24 hours, tallying the total number of coronavirus related deaths in Nepal to 289.
