गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Demand for probing NRB Governor’s alleged party membership Nepal Demand for probing NRB Governor’s alleged party membership KathmanduPati July 13, 2022 KATHMANDU – A demand has been made in the meeting of the House of Representatives today seeking a probe citing that it has come to light Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari is a member of the CPN (UML)’s economic and planning department. Speaking in the meeting, CPN (Maoist Center) lawmaker Rekha Sharma argued that the provision that an individual associated with any party should not be appointed the Governor in contravention of the existing laws, the Bank’s Act and Regulations. She demanded an investigation in this connection and action against both sides- the side making the appointment and the side who got appointed. The UML’s latest intra-party directive states that M Adhikari (Khotang) has been appointed as the member of the CPN (UML) economic and planning department.
