The accident took place when a motorcycle (Ma. 1 Pa. 6766) was hit by a tractor with registration number (Se. 1 Ta. 9533) at Bani Dekhatabhuli marga of Krishnapur-3, police said. Local resident Rameswari Joshi died in the course of treatment while her husband Damber Dev Joshi, who was riding the motorcycle was injured. Their 15-year-old daughter Mamata Joshi was also injured in the accident. Mamata has been taken to Kathmandu for treatment while Damber Dev is undergoing treatment at the Maya Metro hospital in Dhangadi, according to DSP at the District Police Office in Kanchanpur Amar Bahadur Thapa. The tractor has been impounded and its driver Lucky Rana of Shuklaphanta municipality-12 has been taken into custody to face necessary action.
