गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Bagmati Province police launches Telephone Dialogue Programme Nepal Bagmati Province police launches Telephone Dialogue Programme KathmanduPati November 24, 2020 File Photo KATHMANDU – The Bagmati Province Police has commenced the ‘Telephone Dialogue Programme’ in all of its offices to make the chiefs of all police officers more responsible and help police personnel reach out to their immediate chiefs in case of any problems. Under this programme, the police personnel of any rank will be able to telephone their immediate chief and lodge their complaints or bring to fore the problems facing in line with the duty. They will also be able to reach out to the chief of the Police in their respective province if their grievances are not addressed. According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Basanta Kumar Lama, the programme also aims to further streamline the police organization internally and facilitate police personnel in the lower rung to notify their issues to the higher-ups. Junior officers will be able to call their immediate chief from 9:00 am to 10:00 am while police constables and head constables can telephone from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday while police officers and those working in higher rank than officers can call their immediate chief at anytime.
