The Bibeksheel Sajha Party leader is presently under medical care at Bhaisepati-based Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur for COVID-19. He was referred to Mediciti by the Dhapasi-based Grande International Hospital following further complications in his health. He has been admitted to the ICU and the party has launched a fundraising campaign to assist him for the treatment. The college said it will be funding the treatment of Thapa under its social responsibility scheme. College executive director Durga Prasad Prasai through a press statement today said the college acknowledged the contribution of Thapa who is a noted social activist and also the chair of the then Bibeksheel Nepali Party to the establishment of republic in the country and decided to bear his treatment expenses. The college has wished for a speedy recovery of the ailing leader.
