For this purpose, the Minister said that Rs 26.75 billion has been allocated. Vaccination drive was in the priority as safeguarding people’s life was the government’s main goal, Minister Poduel said while reading out the budget. The government has already brought 1.1 million anti-COVID-19 vaccines from India and 800,000 jabs of anti-COVID-19 vaccines from the People’s Republic of China. Furthermore, China has announced to provide 1 million additional doses of vaccines in grant assistance following a telephone conversation between President Bidya Devi Bhandari and her Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.
