The meeting was scheduled to be held at 1 pm today and it has been postponed till January 6, the Parliament Secretariat has stated. A notice issued by Parliament Secretariat’s secretary-general Bharat Raj Gautam states that the meeting has been put off due to ‘special reason’. The HoR will now meet at 1 pm on January 6. The meeting of the Parliamentary Business Advisory Committee called for today has also been postponed. It is said the meeting has been deferred at the CPN (Maoist Centre)’s request as its general convention is in progress. The party’s 8th general convention is underway since December 26.
