गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ Government policies and programmes presented in Federal Parliament Politics Government policies and programmes presented in Federal Parliament KathmanduPati May 24, 2022 KATHMANDU – The government’s policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2079/80 BS (2022-23) have been presented in the Federal Parliament. President Bidya Devi Bhandari is presenting them before a joint session of the Federal Parliament. Prior to this, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba handed a copy of the government’s policies and programmes to the Head-of-the-State. The President was welcomed by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota and National Assembly Chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina at the New Baneshwor-based Federal Parliament building. As per the provision, the government policies and programmes are required to be passed by the Cabinet before its presentation to a joint session of the Federal Parliament by the President. Import replacement, export promotion, internal production growth, job creation and high economic growth are among the targets of the government in its new policies and programmes. Being based on the policies and programmes, the government will be bringing a budget for the upcoming fiscal year on coming Jeth 15 (May 29) as per the budget announcement calendar stipulated by the Constitution.
