TANAHUN – Central chairperson of the School of Democracy Nepal and former President of the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) Nain Singh Mahar urged the party leadership to end internal conflicts surfaced in the party to make it strong and effective.
Student leader Mahar expresses these views at an informal meeting with the office-bearers of the School of Democracy in Tanahun and people’s representatives at the district headquarters in Damauli on Sunday. He underscored the need to put an end to the central level of internal rift being trickled down at local level and discourage the politics of factional feuds.
“NC should strengthen its internal mechanism by spreading a message to the people that its leaders are not insane”, he said, adding that all forces within the party should make a reflection and realization of the past mistakes and take the party ahead with a fresh mandate.
Gandaki State Assembly member Dobate BK said the main weakness on part of NC was its inability to raise a voice in a strong manner despite having several agendas.
On the occasion, Chief of District Coordination Committee Shanti Raman Wagle and Trade Union Congress President said that NC is reeling under a critical condition whether to nurture its leaders or to safeguard the party. He urged the leadership to work in a way to win people’s confidence in upcoming the election.
