A secretariat meeting scheduled for 1 pm at the party office in Dhumbarahi is set to discuss both political reports that the two co-chairmen KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had presented separately. Earlier on Saturday, NCP chairman and Prime Minister Oli had tabled a 38-page long report at the secretariat meeting in response to the political report that party executive chairman Prachanda had presented on November 13. In his 19-page political report, Prachanda had not only raised various questions on failing to run the party and government but also cited various serious allegations of corruption cases and scandals on his watch. Oli’s report included rebuttals to the claims and allegations in Prachanda’s report and accusations against a rival faction of spearheading a campaign to split the party. According to party sources, both reports will be discussed in today’s nine-member secretariat meeting.
