Parliamentarians close to Prachanda-Nepal camp demands House session immediately

114 members were present in the parliamentary party meeting of the ruling NCP held after the government dissolved the House of Representatives


KATHMANDU – A meeting of 114 parliamentarians has decided to reject the government’s move to dissolve the House of Representatives.

The meeting of the parliamentarians close to Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal held at Singhadurbar decided to demand the House session immediately.

90 members of the House of Representatives and 24 members of the National Assembly were present in the meeting of the ruling NCP parliamentary party.

The meeting decided the regular session of the House. Stating that the parliament should be called in six months of the prorogation, the meeting demanded the regular session of the House.

“This meeting strongly demands the regulator function of the House of Representatives,” read the decision of the meeting
