KATHMANDU – President Bidya Devi Bhandari is hosting an all-party meeting to hold an interaction between political parties and try to help forge consensus among them.
President Bhandari called the leaders of all parties to Sheetal Niwas at 4 pm today for the meeting.
According to Bhesh Raj Adhikari, President’s Personal Secretary, CPN (UML), Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), Janata Samajwadi Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Nepal Majdur Kisan Party and Rastriya Janamorcha have been invited to the meeting.
The all-party meeting, going to be hosted by the President at a time when political parties are engaged in power play to change the government, is likely to discuss contemporary political developments.
According to a source at Sheetal Niwas, President Bhandari is providing a platform for the discussion among political parties to find consensus on issues of national importance.
“She will also urge parties to forge a consensus among them,” the source added.
