The Chief Minister of the CPN (Maoist Centre)-led government got 30 votes. Province Assembly Speaker Arjun Shah shared that of the total of 52 Province Assembly members, 30 voted for CM Bhatta while nine voted against him. Similarly, 12 members were absent in the voting process. Speaker Shah then declared that 30 votes obtained by Bhatta were majority votes of the members present in the Province Assembly.
