The festival, which is celebrated every year from Phalgun Pratipada, the second day of waxing moon until the full moon, is the New Year of Sherpa community. The Chief Minister said that protecting and promoting languages, religions, cultures and festivals is the common responsibility of the state and all the Nepalis. The message issued by CM Rai reads, “Our all festivals should become the medium of the national unity.
