The KMC will start the health examination from October 10. In the previous years, the monitoring by the KMC to examine the health of goals used to be carried out only from the day of Ghatasthapana to Nawami. This year, it is going to start early. The KMC has made preparations to conduct the health tests of the domesticated animal at Kalanki, Tukucha, Balaju, Koteshwar and the sales center of the Nepal Food Corporation. The inspection and examination of goats shall be carried out in coordination with the KMC Agriculture and Livestock Department, veterinarians, KMC police and the respective ward, said Dr Awadhesh Jha, the head of the KMC Agriculture Department. The horns of healthy goats will be painted green and those of unhealthy goats red after the monitoring, he added.
