Party Vice Chairman Bishnu Paudel expressed dissatisfaction on social media, stating that Thapa’s views were contrary to the party’s established policies and principles. In his statement, Paudel said, “The views expressed by Ram Bahadur Thapa in today’s House meeting, in his capacity as UML parliamentary party leader, are against the party’s established policies and values. I expect this issue will be discussed seriously and appropriate decisions will be made at the party’s central secretariat meeting scheduled for tomorrow.” Thapa, who also serves as a party vice chairman, had made remarks in Parliament alleging issues involving the Nepali Army and other institutions. A central secretariat meeting of the party has been called to deliberate on the matter.
