The meeting held today at the Prime Minister’s official residence Baluwatar decided to repeal the ordinance issued by the government on Tuesday. According to NCP Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the standing committee meeting also decided to withdraw the letter submitted to the President demanding the special session of the parliament. Prime Minister and NCP Chairman Oli informed the standing committee that the three-member meeting of the Constitutional Council held on Tuesday after the issuance of ordinance did not make any decision related to appointments in constitutional bodies, said NCP spokesperson Shrestha. The next standing committee meeting will be held on Sunday while the central committee meeting of the party scheduled for Sunday has been postponed for December 25, according to Shrestha. Prime Minister Oli was also present in the standing committee meeting following an agreement with and NCP executive chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
