This is the first trip of Prime Minister Oli outside the Kathmandu Valley after dissolving the parliament and setting new dates for midterm election on December 20 last year. Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to address a gathering of cadres in Dhangadhi today. Security agencies have beefed up screening and checking in Kailali on the eve of the Prime Minister’s visit to the district. A large number of police personnel has been mobilized for the security. Yagyaraj Bohora, chief district officer of Kailali, said that the security has been intensified in the district keeping in view the visit of the Prime Minister. According to a source, the security forces have been put on high alert to curb any protest or demonstration from any agitating group including cadres of Nepa Communist Party-led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal. Police plans to intensify screening and checkings to prohibit banners, masks and flags of black colors in and around the assembly venue and the route of Prime Minister Oli, according to the source.
