The total tally surpassed the 16 million mark, reaching 16,263,695 and the death toll increased to 186,920. This was the second consecutive day when over 300,000 cases were registered in a single day. There are still a total of 2,428,616 active cases in the country, with an increase of 137,188 through Thursday, as 13,648,159 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals across the country.
