A meeting of the commission on Wednesday decided to register the UML, said spokesperson Raj Kumar Shrestha. The CPN-UML, headed by Sandhya Tiwari, has decided to use the symbol of a sun rising from a hill for the elections. “Today’s commission’s meeting has decided to register the UML Sandhya Tiwari as its chairperson,” said Shrestha in an interview with Kathmandu Pati. “The party will be given a certificate of its registration publishing it in the newspapers.” An application had been filed with the commission for the party’s registration under the chairmanship of Tiwari, who is from Morang, on July 27.
