Nepal-Japan relations will continue to develop says Shinzo Abe

Agency- Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, has said that Nepal-Japan relations will continue to develop. Abe, who resigned as the prime minister for health reasons, stated that the old ties between the two countries will further strengthen.

“I believe that the long friendship of Nepal-Japan will further develop in the coming days,” Abe wrote in a tweet on Wednesday .

Abe thanked Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for wishing him a speedy recovery.  Prime Minister Oli had said that Nepal-Japan relations had developed a lot during Abe’s tenure.

“Saddened to learn about your ill health. Wish you dear Prime Minister Abe, speedy recovery and good health. Nepal-Japan relations have greatly benefited from your wise and dynamic relationship,” PM Oli wrote in a tweet

Abe recently resigned as prime minister due to his health issue. In a statement, he apologized to the people of Japan for not being able to serve the country for the entire term. “Poor health should not lead to wrong political decisions,” he had stated.
