The agreement reached between Chief District Officer, Kathmandu, Gobinda Prasad Rijal and Rajput on Sunday night. Rajput, who was on the hunger strike for the past 17 days, broke her strike in the presence of Minister for Law Gobinda Prasad Koirala ‘Bandi’. Government advocate on behalf of the writ petitioner would as per request of Rajput demand a DNA test in the case that is sub-judice in the High Court, Janakpur, according to the agreement. It maybe noted that Rajput, a single mother, has long been protesting demanding justice for her and her son. She has accused one Shivaraj Shrestha of Janakpur of raping her when she was 17 years old. She gave birth to a son after becoming pregnant resulting from the rape.
